Romney lamb fleece, combed briefly, handpulled into a rough top, spun firmly into a 2ply fingering weight (Thursday and Friday night), run through the knitting machine this morning and dyed this afternoon.

Coloured BFL top dyed in a diluted version of my Greenwood colourway, spun into a 2ply.

I'm still thinking about the style of the armwarmers these are destined to become. The colours were inspired by Autumn but will still work right into the winter - a bleached out green with rich golds and reds and purples. I'm thinking celtic-patterned colourwork with some sort of hem or facing rather than ribbing, but we shall see. The Romney is still drying.
